Business Ethics Awareness Day at King Faisal University

Under the patronage of the President of King Faisal University, Dr. Adel Abuzenadeh, and in the presence of the Vice Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, Dr. Abdullaelah Al-Qusaybi, the Association, in partnership with King Faisal University, organized the event “Business Ethics Awareness Day 1” in the lobby of the Deanship of Student Affairs on Tuesday (for male students) and Wednesday (for female students), 20–21 Jumada I 1447 AH, corresponding to 11–12 November 2025.

The event included an exhibition in which the Association participated with a dedicated booth that featured information about the Association and its services, an introduction to business ethics, and the scientific frameworks on which the Association bases its services—such as the Ethical Decision Assessment Framework and the Ethical Organization Elements Model. It also showcased real-life unethical practices as well as inspiring exceptional stories implemented by certain private establishments.

The event further featured an enrichment session titled “Ethical Practices for Building a Successful Career Path”, presented by Dr. Mohammed Al-Doughan, Professor of Human Resource Management at King Faisal University. During the session, he discussed several concepts and perspectives on the importance of transparency and integrity in building an ethical professional career, how to prepare an ethical résumé, and how to handle difficult interview questions with honesty and professionalism.

The event also included a scientific symposiuom titled “Ethical Challenges in the Labor Market: What Would You Do If You Were in Their Place?”, in which seven real practices adopted by some small and medium-sized enterprises were presented. Dr. Ghazi Al-Maghlouth from the College of Sharia evaluated these practices from a Sharia perspective, while Dr. Yaḥdhi Smlali from the College of Business Administration assessed them from a scientific perspective.

The Association’s Executive Director, Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Arfaj, noted that the event aimed to raise awareness among university members—including students, faculty, and staff—about the concept of business ethics and its importance in the workplace, to familiarize students with potential ethical challenges they may encounter in the future, and to promote sound and responsible professional behaviors.

He added that the event successfully achieved its goals, as hundreds of university members visited the exhibition, which included—alongside the Association’s booth—around 30 booths highlighting the university’s and its organizational units’ efforts in promoting ethics. He further mentioned that the performance indicators measured by the Association, including satisfaction levels with the Association’s booth, the enrichment session, and the symposiuom were positive, and that the percentage of participants who felt the event had positively influenced their professional awareness was high.

He concluded by inviting public and private higher education institutions interested in holding similar events to contact the Association.
